Understand drug and alcohol misuse in the workplace
Understanding what constitutes a drug (Treatment and Recreational)
Understand the various drug types and how they are categorized
Recognise common drugs used in the workplace, their slang terms and the paraphernalia used
Understand how drugs are taken and consumed
Understand why people begin and continue to take drugs & alcohol
Recognise the 4 dangers of misusing drugs and alcohol

Understand how drugs and alcohol misuse can impact on the organisation
Being able to spot and recognise the common signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol misuse
Understand how the brain can be affected and hijacked by drugs & alcohol
Understanding the developing and progressive stages of drug/alcohol use through to dependence
Know the principles and 3 classifications of the “Misuse of drugs act 1971” and other relevant legislation.

It has changed the way I think about myself and reasons for using in the first place. Also provided me with the mechanism to avoid relapsing when urges present.. First of all I would recommend infinity addiction solutions as they have been amazing to me, I was in a pretty bad place and obviously needed professional help, support and advice, which I received, I had contact every day by phone asking if I was okay and was always answering every question I asked when I was unsure about anything. Great service, Ian was understanding and knowledgeable. Met Ian first when he was manager at a rehab I attended and since then have had several therapists who I struggled to connect with.
