Family Programme (Respire)

The Respire Programme

Here at Infinity Addiction Solutions, we understand only too well that addiction doesn’t just affect the person with the addiction, but the loved ones that surround them too. Watching an addict lose themselves in addiction, whether that’s substance abuse or a gambling problem can be quite simply, heartbreaking.

It’s often extremely difficult for one to know what to do in a situation such as this, for the simple fact that it’s most likely a completely alien circumstance. Thankfully, here at Infinity Addiction Solution, we provide support services that can help with this. These support services are known as The Respire Programme.

The Respire Programme is a professional programme set up specifically for the family and loved ones of an addict. Within this programme, we can provide you with help, advice and support to help you deal with both the addiction itself as well as the possible events, should the addict in your life decide to go through rehabilitation.

Regardless of your loved one’s addiction, whether it’s substance dependent abuse or a behavioural type of abuse, we can work with you to tailor our services and provide you with a bespoke treatment plan.

The Benefits Of The Respire Programme

Through The Family Workshop as well as our Skills Building Sessions, we’ll help you understand fully what your loved one’s addiction is, while helping to equip you with the tools and resources you need to deal with what can often be a devastating problem. We can provide you with the ways to deal with the addiction itself as well as how to deal with those who may be going through a treatment plan currently.

The Respire Programme can also incorporate Family Therapy sessions as well as advice and guidance on Family Intervention. We’re here not simply to open your eyes to addiction and all that it encompasses, including the why and how but also to equip you with the tools to help you help them.

Co-dependency Explained

Co-dependency can be defined as a relationship of which two people become over invested in each other, and that they can’t function independently anymore, Your mood, happiness, and identity are defined by the other person. In a co-dependent relationship, there is usually one person who is more passive and can’t make decisions for themselves, and a more dominant personality who gets some reward and satisfaction from controlling the other person and making decisions about how they will live.

Co-dependency is an issue we key in on and tackle head on. More often than not, co-dependency can be a trigger for many addicts however, it’s not often that family and/or friends of the addict are aware of their co-dependency and as such, this can often go ignored or merely overlooked.

Within our Respire Programme, we can tailor what we deliver and how we deliver it to match your specific needs. We’ll show you how co-dependency works and how to break the cycle, for you and the addict in your life.
