    Outpatient Rehab FAQs

Have a question not answered here?

What is the difference between outpatient and inpatient rehab?

Outpatient rehab means receiving treatment during day or evening hours but sleeping at home, whereas inpatient rehab refers to 4 to 12 weeks of treatment at an overnight facility, as often portrayed in the media.

While inpatient rehab, also referred to as residential rehab, is often the right call in certain circumstances, the reality is that many individuals either cannot commit to the financial or time costs, or simply do not need that level of intense counselling to overcome addiction.

Outpatient rehab is a cost-effective and flexible alternative to inpatient rehab.

How long does outpatient rehab take?

Unfortunately, there’s no precise way of determining how long a full and lasting recovery from drug or alcohol addiction will take. The good news is that the overwhelming majority of patients we treat see a marked improvement in their mental health, ability to deal with stress and triggers, and confidence in their ability to maintain sobriety within just a few weeks of starting treatment. Our outpatient programmes are built around 9 and 12-week timeframes, enough time to lay a strong foundation for recovery while remaining flexible to your pace and needs.

What types of addiction do you treat?

Infinity Addiction Solutions specialises in treating all forms of substance abuse, including drugs, alcohol, and prescription drugs, as well as mental health and behavioural disorders, such as gambling, eating, or gaming.

Substance abuse rarely exists in isolation. We help our patients identify and address potentially undiagnosed co-occurring disorders, including anxiety, PTSD, and more.

    Is at-home alcohol detox safe?

Alcohol withdrawal symptoms may range from mild anxiety to dangerous and potentially life-threatening seizures and delirium tremens (DTs). However, while it is true that most individuals will find alcohol withdrawal uncomfortable at the very least, only a relatively small percentage of the most hardened drinkers are likely to face a genuine threat to their health.

Under the care of trained addiction specialists, a medically supervised at-home alcohol detox is a safe and effective option for many individuals wanting to break free from alcohol dependence without entering a residential facility.

Can I still go to work or school during outpatient addiction treatment?

Yes, you can. Not everyone seeking substance abuse treatment has hit rock bottom. Our clients include parents, employees, employers, students, and other individuals who have commitments and responsibilities they can’t walk away from, making Dayhab or outpatient treatment an ideal solution for those needing a greater degree of flexibility.
