Originally developed as a battlefield anaesthetic before being ‘discovered’ by nightclub goers, ketamine’s heyday as a party drug was thought to have come and gone by the 1990s. For a reasonably long time in the world of substance abuse, ketamine use was largely confined to specific subcultures and mostly overlooked within the world of substance abuse.

But now it’s back. Ketamine is surging in popularity, and its uptake among teenagers and young adults is raising a lot of red flags in really quick succession.

While there is legitimate research into how ketamine may be used to treat certain forms of depression, the reality is that the overwhelming majority of ketamine use is not happening under medical supervision—it’s happening at clubs, or festivals. Readily available, often more affordable than alcohol or other drugs, and carrying a high risk of psychological addiction, ketamine abuse is serious, and it carries a significant risk of causing permanent physical harm.

Infinity Addiction Solutions specialises in targeted and personalised ketamine addiction rehab therapy, helping our clients permanently overcome ketamine abuse through proven and effective therapies that uncover and address the root causes of addiction.

Looking for expert advice on dealing with a growing ketamine dependency?

Reach out to Infinity Addiction Solutions to speak to one of our experienced counsellors and discover how our flexible and tailored ketamine addiction rehab programmes help people return to clarity, stability, and a life free from dependence.

Ketamine Addiction Rehab Treatment, Counselling and Therapy

With years of experience in helping individuals from all walks of life overcome all forms of substance abuse, we understand that ketamine abuse does not exist in a vacuum. Whether initially taken out of pure curiosity or to seek relief from pain, factors such as potential co-occurring mental health conditions, past psychological traumas, social, and even genetic factors all play a role in both developing and recovering from ketamine abuse.

Taking the broad range of factors that contribute to addiction into consideration, we work closely with our clients to design personalised treatment schedules based on their requirements, availability, and preferences.

The Infinity Ketamine Rehab Process: How to access treatment

Ongoing ketamine abuse can cause significant harm to the bladder, urinary tract, liver, and kidneys. We’ve streamlined our admission process to quickly understand the nature of your addiction and match you with the most appropriate treatment programme with no unnecessary delays.

    Step 1: Initial contact

Reach out to us or request a callback. One of our addiction specialists will contact you at a convenient time to answer any of your questions. All calls are judgment-free and fully confidential.

Making contact can be challenging. We encourage you to do so despite how enormous that must feel right now. We’re confident that we’ll be able to help you find a sense of security.

    Step 2: Assessment and recommendation

After having your questions answered, our team will conduct an assessment screening of your addiction profile, possible co-occurring mental health conditions, recovery goals, and other relevant factors that will affect treatment and recovery. We will then recommend a treatment programme best suited to meet your needs and which gives the best possible outcome: low-intensity counselling, medium-intensity, Dayhab, or high-intensity residential rehab.

    Step 3: Start your programme

Treatment typically starts within a few days. Before your first session, your therapist will contact you to discuss practicalities and answer any further questions you may have.

What does ketamine rehab look like? What can I expect?

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all ketamine addiction programme. Addiction is complex, and each person’s background, journey, and recovery progression will be different and unique. The best addiction treatment programmes to meet each individual’s presentation are effective, safe, flexible, and will adapt to the patient’s needs. Our modern ketamine addiction treatment often includes elements of:

    One-on-one counselling

One-on-one sessions with an addiction specialist allow individuals to take a guided and closer look at their addiction, uncovering and addressing the root causes and developing personalised, healthy, and sustainable coping methods. Depending on the patient’s needs, therapists may use one of several types of therapies.

    Behavioural therapies

Addiction specialists around the world rely on various counselling approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Approaches. These therapies, presented in a one-on-one format, help individuals to recognise triggers, regulate their emotions and emotional responses to external situations, develop stress tolerance, and increase mindfulness.

    Relapse prevention planning

Relapse prevention planning prepares individuals for dealing with life after therapy. It is a deeply personalised toolkit for dealing with stress loads, emotional triggers, urges, and cravings, for example.

    Addiction education

Specialist addiction education helps patients dispel the myths, untruths, and misunderstandings surrounding addiction and substance abuse, replacing them instead with evidence-based facts and supported theories based on research. Understanding addiction allows informed decision-making and a greater chance at a full recovery.

    Family therapy

Where relevant, family therapy can help loved ones prepare for post-rehab life, empowering them to create a recovery-friendly space at home, teaching them how to set healthy boundaries, and allowing families to address old wounds and resolve conflicts in a controlled environment.

    Aftercare

A full recovery from ketamine abuse may last anywhere from a few months to two or three years, depending on several factors. Rehab aftercare programmes offer access to essential recovery resources that support long-term recovery, including group therapy and supportive communities.

    Our Residential Rehab Partnership Network

At Infinity Addiction Solutions, we specialise in providing effective and flexible outpatient substance addiction rehab programmes, which can be during office hours or evenings at our practices in Bath, Bristol, Essex, and London.

When our addiction assessment indicates that residential rehab is the best move forward, when the patient requires full medical supervision or urgent removal from their triggering environments, we refer or signpost our clients to a partnered residential rehab service provider that best suits their needs.

Infinity Addiction Solutions is primarily a direct rehab service provider, and we only recommend clients to our hand-selected partner rehabs when we are unable to provide the essential recovery services ourselves, for example, overnight medical supervision.

We have long-standing relationships with our partnered residential rehabs, having known and worked with many of their management and treatment teams over the decades. Our network partners are Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated, reputable, and equally employ modern, evidence-based care and therapies in safe, clean and well-managed facilities.
